Appendix IV: Humanzee

Test shots of Tom Doran as the human/chimpanzee hybrid child in the early days of the development of Beneath. The "humanzee"concept was soon shelved amid fears that the concept of inter-species copulation would cost the film a "G" rating, thus decimating its potential audience. Interestingly, in the earlier screen tests, the film is still titled Planet Of The Apes Revisited, whereas in later shots the title has been revised to Beneath The Planet Of The Apes.
